The 23-year-old “Glee” star, Chris Colfer is done with the musical drama for good. With the wrap of the fifth season on May 13, 2014, Colfer will not be coming back as Kurt Hummel.

As he was one of the writers of the fifth season finale, Colfer has clearly displayed his wide-range of talents. But it doesn’t stop at that, he’s also the author of a a children’s book series, he has written a Disney Channel pilot, and has written a feature film, “Struck by Lightening.”

Colfer is now in the midst of recording his voice for the animated comedy adventure “Robodog.” In the animation, Colfer will play KC. Although he’s convinced that he loves performing and acting, Colfer is still unsure of his future in film.

“Sometimes I wonder if I am cut out to really be an actor these days because there’s that whole element of being known that I don’t know if I’m really good at. Whereas if I’m a writer, I can do it all from my bedroom in my pajamas except for the occasional book tour,” Colfer told EW. He then reiterated that he loves both crafts—acting and writing—as each has its own ’side effects.’

Season 6 of ‘Glee,’ which resumes some time in 2015, will be the show’s last. Colfer still doesn’t know if he'll be back full time in the next season, according to TV Line
