On October 17, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Weidong Fei, who was a teacher in the Jiujiang County No. 1 Middle School in Jiangxi Province, was reported to the police by a store owner while he was telling others the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. The police arrived at the scene and closed the store’s roll-up doors, then brutally beat Weidong Fei to death on the spot.
According to a report from www.minghui.org on December 1, the police denied that Weidong Fei was beaten to death and claimed that Weidong Fei died of a heart attack. His family was forbidden to see his body and his body was sent to be cremated without the consent of his family. The police passed his ashes to his family and threatened his family not to protest his unlawful death.
According to insiders, due to the beating, his body was covered with bruises, there were two bloody holes on both of his temples, and all of his front teeth were broken off.
A Minghui reporter inquired for more detailed information. In total, four staff members from the Jiujinag County Education Bureau answered the phone and said that Weidong Fei was a Falun Gong practitioner and that he was beaten to death when he was buying a motorcycle in a market. They said that they were not clear about what happened. They added that he passed away, and that anything concerning his death should be answered by the Public Security Bureau. They could not tell him anything else.
Jiujiang County Public Security Bureau refused to be interviewed by phone and nobody in the Jiujiang County No. 1 Middle School answered the phone.
At present, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) has begun collecting detailed information concerning this atrocious crime committed by Chinese police.
