Chinese People: ‘We Don’t Want to Go Down With the Communist Party’
Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes direct translations of statements made by Chinese who have renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to the Chinese language Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang” in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after The Epoch Times published the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. The statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and are peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.
The following is a selection of quitting-the-Party statements made by Chinese nationals during Oct. 22–26, 2012.
I Don’t Have Any Illusion About the Party
I don’t have any illusion about the party that bullies people, covers up everything and presents a false appearance of peace and prosperity. I never joined the Communist Party, but I joined its Youth League and Young Pioneers. Now I voluntarily withdraw from them!

I Have Realized the Crimes the Party has Committed
I was a Young Pioneer, Youth League and Party member, partially because of compulsion, partially because of my own pursuit for fame and profit. Now I’ve realized that the crimes the CCP has committed are heinous, and it never wishes to correct its crimes and mistakes, so I withdraw from it.

We Wanted to Quit a Long Time Ago
The CCP has ruined the natural environment and is abusing human rights. We wanted to quit it a long time ago. Because of fear and certain concerns, we didn’t dare to do it. Now looking back, not quitting it means accepting and supporting it, both of which have brought the nation and the people great disasters. So now we solemnly announce that we withdraw from Chinese Communist Party and all its organizations.

The Communist Party Is an Evil Cult
With the passage of time and according to my own reasoning, I’ve clearly seen that the Communist Party is an evil cult through and through. Its essence is hate because it makes people suffer. In order to have a bright future, I announce that I withdraw from the evil CCP’s Youth League, Young Pioneer’s team and all its organizations.

The Chinese Communist Party Is the Devil
I’ve learned about the atrocious Communist Party’s support of live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners. It’s not something that human beings are capable of. The Chinese Communist Party is the devil. I also know that Communist Party officials are corrupt and money is everything for them. Common people don’t have any human rights in China. What a society it is! I solemnly announce my withdrawal from the Party’s Young Pioneer and all its organizations.

Life Is So Hard for Us
We are the common people living at the bottom of Chinese society. Life is so hard for us. We saw in the news that people living in the democratic countries all have normal rights. They are the real owners of the country, living without fear and oppression. By contrast, we Chinese people live under an iron boot, suffering deceit, terror and oppression. Now we’ve gradually realized that it is all caused by the Communist Party. It’s the result of its lies, deceit, brainwashing, corruption, exploitation and suppression. The Party also caused this country’s chaotic situation. It’s the root of all evil. Now Heaven is eliminating the Party, and we don’t want to go down with it. Let The Epoch Times be our witness, we solemnly announce here that we immediately withdraw from the Communist Party, its Youth League, and Young Pioneers and all related organizations. We pray to Heaven for a bright future, and we are grateful!

I Erase the Mark of the Beast
I joined the Communist Party’s Young Pioneers when I was little and knew nothing about it. When I joined the Youth League, I was young and knew nothing about it. After I started working, I was forced and lured to join the Party (to make a living in a state-owned enterprise). Now I can finally see the Party’s evil nature. I solemnly announce that today I quit the Communist Party and erase the mark of the beast and start a new life.

The Communist Party Persecutes Kind People
I quit from the Young Pioneers. The CCP persecutes kind people. I was illegally held in a detention center because of housing issues. I witnessed there that Falun Gong practitioners were beaten up and tortured with electronic shocks in an attempt to force them to write confessions. If they refused, the police would throw them into the cells with drug dealers and drug addicts and make them beat up the Falun Gong practitioners. Afterward, the head of the prison guards would give the drug dealers narcotics as rewards. These things helped me see the evil nature of the Communist Party. It’s inevitable that Heaven will eliminate the Chinese Communist Party.

The CCP Is Evil
We know from the bottom of our hearts that the CCP is evil. We haven’t got a chance to quit it until now when we went abroad. We solemnly announce that we withdraw from the Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. When we return to our country, we will feel free and at ease.
