CHINA—Three appellants from Heilonjiang Province attempted suicide outside the appeals reception of the Chinese National People’s Congress, said officials from the China-Taiwan Human Rights Affairs Center.

The three appellants apparently took poison outside the official hearing of appeals by the Communist Party Congress. Other appellants form Heilonjiang who were present at the scene confirmed the report.

According the reports, two of the three died on the way to the hospital.

Beijing volunteers from the China-Taiwan Human Rights Center have been unable to uncover more information about the incident because of the strict media control imposed by the communist regime. New developments will be reported as soon as they are uncovered.
