Cloistered within the laboratories of a Chinese defense university, soldiers are fighting on virtual battlefields, spurred on by the orders of a first-of-its-kind digital commander.

These are war games intended to assist the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in conducting large-scale training exercises even when high-ranking military officers cannot be pulled away from their duties elsewhere.
