White House national security adviser Robert O'Brien said the United States is considering “further options to respond” after the arrests of more than 50 pro-democracy figures in Hong Kong.

O'Brien, in a Jan. 11 statement, said the “politicized” arrests last week were “the latest of many successive nails that Beijing has driven into the coffin of Hong Kong democracy.”
