House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said on Sept. 17 that China’s announcement to its domestic tech companies about not buying Nvidia chips does not benefit the bilateral relationship.

“It’s a very, I think, counterproductive development for what they’ve announced about Nvidia, and we’ve got to work through that,” Johnson said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” program.
