Spain Extradites 94 Taiwanese to China on Phone Scam Charges

BEIJING—Spain has extradited 94 Taiwanese to China to face telephone and online fraud charges, drawing protest from Taiwan’s government over human rights.
The suspects arrived in the morning on June 7 at Beijing airport on a chartered flight. Footage on state broadcaster CCTV showed uniformed officers escorting them off the China Eastern plane one-by-one.
