Members of Congress have called for investigations into allegations that far-left groups with ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were linked to the organization of riots against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Los Angeles.

Escalating Violence Nationwide

Earlier this month, anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles devolved into riots as violent protesters clashed with ICE agents and other law enforcement, leading to President Donald Trump deploying the California National Guard and active Marines to the streets of the city.

On June 14, the LAPD once again issued dispersal orders in Los Angeles after the anti-Trump “No Kings” protests became violent, with rocks and bricks reportedly being thrown at law enforcement. In Portland, Oregon, the Portland Police Bureau declared a riot as “No Kings” protesters clashed with federal officers outside an ICE facility. Multiple officers were reportedly injured.
