Hong Kong Scholar Awarded the Highest Honor of the American Association of Geographers

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) said yesterday that Kwan Mei-bo, Director of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science at CUHK and Choh-Ming Professor of Geography and Resource Management, has been awarded the James R. Anderson Medal of Honor for Applied Geography in recognition of her work in promoting Multi-Disciplinary Applied Geography, and her contributions to research in paradigm shift.
The James R. Anderson Medal of Honor for Applied Geography is the highest honor in the Applied Geography Professional Group of the American Association of Geographers. Kwan Mei-bo is the first Chinese and the third female scholar to receive this award in 39 years since the award has been established.
