HK Firefighters Find 13 Cats and 1 Dog in Coma in Village House Fire

A village house in Hong Kong caught fire on Oct. 24. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found 13 cats and 1 dog, all asphyxiated and were confirmed dead despite efforts to resuscitate them.

The police said in a report on Oct. 25 that a fire broke out on the ground floor of a village house in Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. Firefighters arrived at the scene and put out the fire, rescuing 13 cats and 1 dog. All of the animals were in a coma. First-aid treatments were given to the pets by more than 10 firefighters and first-aiders. Unfortunately, they were confirmed dead despite efforts.
