A Republican lawmaker recently introduced a bill prohibiting U.S. taxpayer dollars from funding companies with ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The legislation from Rep. John James (R-Mich.), titled “No American Tax Dollars to CCP Act,” would bar taxpayer dollars from funding state-backed Chinese companies and forbids joint ventures or partnerships with “foreign entities of concern.”
