Linda Sun, former aide to both New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, is facing fraud charges on top of previous accusations of acting as an unregistered agent of the Chinese regime.

Sun, 41, and her husband, Chris Hu, 40, were named in a superseding indictment unsealed on June 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. The new charges, delivered by a federal grand jury the day before, stem from an alleged scheme to steer lucrative state contracts to businesses linked to her family during the COVID-19 pandemic.
