Factory Fire in Danyang, China, Leaves at Least One Dead, One Missing

Flames engulfed a seven-story factory building in Jiangsu’s Danyang city, causing casualties as rescue operations continue.

A fire that broke out on Thursday morning at a factory in the eastern Chinese city of Danyang has left one person dead, according to state broadcaster CCTV.

The fire erupted around 10:31 a.m. at Yilida Plastic Parts Co., Ltd., located in Danyang’s Anle Industrial Park, state media reported, citing the city’s emergency management bureau.
