Scholars from China’s top university publicly expressed opposition to Beijing’s hawkish pursuit of military expansion and the possible use of military force against Taiwan.

Former dean of Peking University’s School of International Relations, Jia Qingguo, cautioned against Beijing’s pursuit of “absolute national security” in the latest issue of the Journal of International Security Studies published by the University of International Relations in Beijing.
