China’s military shares a similar weakness to that of Russia’s armed forces which may hamper its efforts to conquer Taiwan should the regime move forward with an invasion, according to a new report.

The report (pdf), published by the National Defense University Press earlier this month, analyzed the biographies of more than 300 senior officers in China’s military before and after Chinese communist leader Xi Jinping’s sweeping military reforms in 2015.
