The premiere dates for Chicago Fire season 3 and Chicago PD season 2 have been announced by NBC.

The former will premiere on Tuesday, September 24.

The latter will premiere a day later.

Very few spoilers have come out although NBC programming executive Robert Greenblatt told reporters at the network’s upfront presentation to expect more crossover episodes between Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Law & Order: SVU.

“It’s going to happen a lot more often, I think,” Jesse Lee Soffer (Detective Jay Halstead) told Zap2It. “I think every episode from now on, they’re going to have a couple characters from one show on the other.”

“What’s cool is we don’t even know, when we’re going into the new season — who is going to be crossing over?” Jon Seda (Detective Antonio Dawson) added. “It could be me, it could be Jesse, Jason [Beghe] — I don’t know!”

“We saw Sophia Bush appear on all three shows, and many of the other actors occasionally hopped back and forth depending on what was going on with the story,” added CarterMatt
