Chewbacca Actor Peter Mayhew Hospitalized: Report

Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew was hospitalized on Monday for pneumonia, according to a report.

Chewbacca actor Peter Mayhew was hospitalized on Monday for pneumonia, according to a report.

Mayhew was forced to cancel a comic shop appearance over the weekend, according to TMZ.com.

His wife wrote on Reddit that Mayhew “will make a full recovery, and hope to be discharged within a few days. Doctors are incredibly happy with his improvements.”

He will appear in the next Star Wars trilogy that starts with “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
