Hugo Chavez battles for his life in a military hospital in Caracas, Venezuela.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez is in a military hospital in Caracas where his health continues to decline, according to a report by the Associated Press.
He is being treated for a respiratory infection and is currently breathing with the help of a tracheal tube, according to the Guardian.
Diagnosed with cancer in 2011, Chavez has been in and out of hospitals in Caracas and in Havana, Cuba, over the past year.
Chavez was re-elected in Oct. 2012 but the supreme court delayed his swearing in because of his poor health, according to the BBC.
