Charlotte Filbert, one of Robin Williams’ former girlfriends, has spoken out about the star actor’s death.

Filbert is an artist.

Reports in late 2007 and 2008 indicated that she was introduced to Williams by Ally Hilfinger, the daughter of famous designer Tommy Hilfinger.

Tabloids National Enquirer and New York Post said that they had an affair while Williams was separated from his second wife Marsha Garces, and that Filbert moved to Manhattan and was given a $10,000 a month allowance by Williams. She was 27 and he was 56 when they met.

Later that year, Garces and Williams divorced.

Filbert and Williams eventually parted ways, and she opened an art studio in East Hampton, New York before moving to South Carolina in 2012, reported the Daily Mail. She married artist Benjamin Caldwell, 30, last year.

The Mail reached Filbert, and said that she was choked up and close to tears over Williams’ death early this week.

“It’s very, very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family,” she said.

“I have my own family now, I just had a baby, and I am thinking about his family.'”

Asked when she last spoke to Williams, she repeated: “All I really want to say is that my thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
