NEW YORK—Thousands of adherents assembled in various locations in Central Park and Manhattan’s Chinatown on Saturday, May 18 to practice the gentle exercises and meditation of Falun Dafa.

Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is an advanced practice of self-cultivation based on the universal principles of truthfulness, compassion and tolerance, according to falundafa.org, a website where all of the Falun Dafa teachings and exercise instruction are available free of charge.

First popularized in China in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi, people all over the world now practice the harmonious discipline that emphasizes looking within. Adherents say they have obtained improved health, quality of life, and inner peace after taking up the practice.

After the early morning exercises ended, Epoch Times reporters asked adherents how they had benefitted from practicing Falun Dafa. Watch the video to learn what they said.
