CBS pulls tornado episode: CBS recently pulled an episode of “Mike & Molly” that features a tornado after a series of tornadoes ripped through the Midwest and southeastern United States on Sunday and Monday.

As of Monday evening, the death toll for the devastating tornado that hit Oklahoma City and its suburbs was at 51, according to reports. The tornado also caused massive damage throughout the region.

“Due to the tragic events this afternoon in Oklahoma, we are pre-empting tonight’s season finale of ‘Mike & Molly,’ which has a related storyline,” CBS said Monday in a statement obtained by USA Today. “A repeat broadcast of ‘Mike & Molly’ will run in the time period. The season finale will be broadcast at an appropriate date.”

The episode of the sitcom features a tornado touching down in Chicago.
