Cathy’s Tuesday Tip: Creative Ways To Organize

|Updated:

Organization is on just about everyone’s list of home problems at one point or another! It can be difficult not only to find a place for everything, but also ways to store things in an attractive and un-cluttered way. There are plenty of ways to do this - you just need to think outside the box (literally)! Here are a few quick tips:

1. Use wooden storage crates. These give a nice rustic look (much prettier than plastic bins!) and can be used for just about anything - from towels and linens to books and magazines. you can even stack them up to create a shelf-like effect.

2. Use pretty jars for smaller items. Instead of tossing little items like paper clips, pens and other knickknacks into a junk drawer, try a cluster of pretty jars on a shelf or countertop. Functional and pretty!

3. Tie sheet sets with ribbon. Once laundered, keep pieces of a sheet set from straying by tying with a ribbon. This will keep your linen closet neat and organized and also ensure that a pillowcase never goes missing again!
