A so-called photo of a “Cat Mountain in Ukraine,” which looks like a sleeping cat, isn’t real, but a large number of users on Facebook and Twitter apparently think it is.

The “mountain” was created by a graphic artist known as Cyn, posting it on the Worth1000.com website for a contest. The artist won first in the “Canvas Earth 2” around 10 years ago, but for unknown reason, the image is being shared again.

The photo was called “Sleepy Canyon” and has been circulated via e-mail, forums, and social media sites for the past decade.

There is a “Cat Mountain” in Ukraine called Mount Koshka, but it looks nothing like the image that’s being shared. It’s located in the Crimean Mountains near Yalta.
