A driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed through the lobby of Clinica Mi Pueblo—a medical clinic in Anaheim—around 1 p.m. on Jan 22, injuring eight people.

The vehicle was heading northbound on Anaheim Boulevard and struck the clinic on the corner of East Sycamore Street.

Of the injured, seven sustained minor to moderate injuries, and one suffered major injuries including head trauma, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Jon McClintock.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle was not under the influence of substances or alcohol.

Those injured were rushed to local hospitals. The clinic has closed temporarily.

The cause is still under investigation, police said.
