A police officer in Portland stopped a car chase and helped a group of ducks cross a road.

Police released a dashboard camera video of a traffic officer stopping his vehicle to block traffic to allow the birds to make it safely to the other side of the road, according to video footage from the Portland Police Department.

The cop, who was identified as Mark James, saw a vehicle traveling well beyond the speed limit before he noticed the ducks.

“Psshhh, this cop was just trying to fill his monthly duck saving quota,” reads one of the top comments on YouTube.
