A Canadian island and tourist site is playfully encouraging Americans to move there if Donald Trump becomes president.
“Don’t wait until Donald Trump is elected president to find somewhere else to live! Start now, that way, on election day, you just hop on a bus to start your new life in Cape Breton,” reads a statement on the website “Cape Breton If Trump Wins.”
Cape Breton is an island off the east coast of Canada, as big as the largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago.
“This is not a joke! See for yourself, you belong here with us on Cape Breton Island, where health care is free, you know your neighbors and they look out for you, and nobody has a hand gun!” the website reads.
Since the ascendance of Donald Trump in the Republican presidential primary, jokes about “moving to Canada” have become more common on social media.

Besides the beautiful scenery, the website also boasted about the island’s temperate 80 degree summers and one of the most affordable housing markets in North America.
