Cameron D'Ambrosio, an aspiring teenaged rapper, is facing terrorism charges after he said he would do worse than the Boston Marathon bombers on Facebook.

According to the Boston Globe, D’Ambrosio, a student at Methuen High School in Massachusetts, posted a threat on his Facebook: “Ya’ll want me to [expletive] kill somebody?” and “[expletive] a Boston bombing wait till you see the [expletive] I do.”

The message, which was passed around rapidly by students, said that he would “go insane and make the news, the paper,” reported the Globe.

“I’ma [sic] be famous rapping, and beat every murder charge that comes across me!” the post continued.

Lawrence District Court Judge Lynn Rooney ordered D’Ambrosio to be held without bail earlier this week. The 18-year-old was arraigned in court wearing a T-shirt with dead rapper ODB on the front.

Authorities told the paper they took the threat seriously.

“There are no more threats that are high school pranks,” Joseph Solomon, the Lawrence police chief, said Thursday. “If they’re thinking that way, they need to get their heads into 2013.”

D’Ambrosio faces as many as 20 years in prison for making a bomb threat if he is convicted, according to the Boston Herald.

“I’m not going to make any comments about the case,” attorney Geoffrey DuBosque told the paper. “I just met him and I need to meet with him in private.”

Last year, D’Ambrosio was charged with threatening to stab his sister to death, but the charges were dropped in April.

One student told WHDH TV: “It’s not tolerated. He should be in jail for it.”

A parent at the school said that “we weren’t all angels when we were kids, but nothing like this. This is just utterly amazing when you really think about it.”

But one neighbor thinks that he wasn’t serious about the post.

“I don’t think that he was intending to do anything. He was just full of hatred at the time. I don’t think he’s smart enough to build a bomb,” the neighbor told the station.
