A California man who crashed his car into another vehicle that was being driven by a veteran told police he deliberately caused the crash in the name of Allah, according to a report.
Ameer Abbaf Fakhraldin slammed his vehicle into a car that is being driven by Scott Alcala, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan.
Alcala told Fox 26: “I saw the suburban coming right at me about to T-bone right into the driver door and I thought that was it. A second later I turned my head and just smashed into the barrier.”
Acala added that the crash didn’t impact anyone else. Witnesses said the car was traveling extremely fast before swerving into his car, causing it to fishtail.
Alcala said, “The off-duty police officer went to talk to the other driver in his vehicle and he said, ‘Are you alright? That was way too fast,’ and (the driver) said ‘I did it on purpose. It was in the name of Allah.'”

According to a police report, driver Ameer Abbaf Fakhraldin told officials that he crashed his vehicle because of Donald Trump’s “improper treatment of minorities,” Fox 26 said. He also cited Allah.
Fakhraldin also claimed that he was traveling at 200 mph, while he also told police that he caused the crash via telekinetic or psychic powers to control the car.
Alcala said, “There was no remorse. He just went back to his car nonchalant, pulled out a water bottle and just posted up.”
Police didn’t say if the crash was an act of terrorism.
Alcala told Fox 26: “He was just trying to target as many people as he could. He was just trying to cause a pile up. It wasn’t me personally. It was as if someone were to throw a bomb in the middle of downtown, its no different, it’s the same thinking.”
He added, “Coming back from Afghanistan, thinking I’m on home soil I’m safe now… just shouldn’t have to worry about something like that you know.”
