California: Lindo Park Elementary School Lockdown, Officials Detain Parent

Officials at Lindo Park Elementary School in Lakeside, Calif., detained a parent who came on the campus near San Diego with a gun.

The school was placed on lockdown, which ended after the parent was arrested, said the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, according to NBC San Diego.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

It took place at around 2:3o p.m. local time, said 10 News.

Most of the students were dismissed prior to the lockdown. But staff and students were on campus when the lockdown took place, according to 10 News.
