LOS ANGELES—Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced two new operations this weekend as part of the city’s continuing efforts to tackle large homeless encampments, called “Inside Safe.”

On Sunday, Ms. Bass’s office said more than 20 Angelenos were brought inside from an encampment in the Shadow Hills area of the San Fernando Valley. The individuals were provided supportive services from LA Family Housing, Healthcare In Action, the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, and the county Department of Mental Health.
