California Earthquake Today: 3.9 Quake Near Los Angeles, Long Beach, Carson, San Pedro

An earthquake struck south of Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.

The quake hit out in the Pacific Ocean about 12 miles south of San Pedro, said the US Geological Survey.

Residents in the Greater Los Angeles area indicated on Twitter that they could feel that quake.

The quake had a depth of 2 miles.
