A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck east of Bakersfield, California, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The agency said that the quake hit near Weldon, located north of Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert.
The Bakersfield Californian newspaper reported that residents felt the quake.
“Felt it here in Bodfish,” Kern County resident Debbie Holland wrote. “It shook the whole house! The dogs barked like crazy at it. lol.”
There was no damage reported in the quake.
