Celebrating the year of the Rabbit, Disney’s California Adventure in Anaheim, California has revealed plans starting Jan. 20 through Feb. 15 for the Chinese Lunar New Year by including regionally inspired cuisine, live holiday entertainment, and new merchandise.

Festivities include Mulan and her Disney pals parading from the park’s Pixar Pier to Hollywood Land along with live music, costumed performers, and even a Chinese dragon puppet. The show will take place multiple times throughout the day beginning in late January.

Other shows include “Hurry Home,” a six-minute nighttime water show at Paradise Pier depicting the journey home for the New Year of a little lantern, interwoven by a musical film score and vibrant projections.

Guests can also expect expanded menu options featuring popular Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cuisine from dining marketplaces at the park’s Paradise Gardens.

This year, the park is unveiling two new Lunar New Year-themed marketplace pop-ups: “Bamboo Blessings” featuring Mickey Mouse-shaped purple sweet potato macarons, and “Wrapped With Love,” offering various wontons and dumplings.

Limited edition alcoholic beverages will also be for sale featuring East-Asian ingredients including the sweet, jelly-like fruit known as lychee; Korean rice alcohol-infused drinks, and Lunar New Year-themed beers on tap.

Non-alcoholic holiday beverages will also be available for purchase including coconut-matcha flavored coffee, and dragon fruit-infused lemonade, among others.

Commemorative souvenirs will also be available for purchase including holiday-themed sweaters and attire, Mickey and Minnie ears and plush toys, and more.

Guests can also expect crafts and activities interspersed throughout Paradise Gardens, Chinese calligraphy demonstrations, and the park’s “Lucky Wishes Wall,” where guests can write and hang their hopes for the future and year ahead on Mickey-shaped holiday paper.
