At least seven people were shot and wounded in Calgary on New Year’s Eve, according to reports.

According to the CBC, two of the seven people who were injured have life-threatening injuries. Det. Steve Adair said the shooting likely took place at a house party at the 1900 block of 36th Street S.W. early in the morning.

Adair said multiple 911 calls came in at around 5 a.m. local time.

The victims are said to be in their 20s. Aldair said there were about 50 people at the party.

Approximately 15 witnesses were called in for questioning by police.

“Upon arrival, CPS members located five victims with gunshot wounds, both inside the residence and outside. They were subsequently transported to hospital, two of them in life-threatening condition,” officials told the Calgary Herald.

The suspect in the shooting has not been found yet.
