An explosion reportedly took place in northwest Calgary, located in Alberta, Canada, on Monday afternoon.
The blast reportedly occurred near the Lafarge plant, preliminary reports indicate.
CTV reported that blasting was going on at a gravel pit.
Photos uploaded on Twitter show what appears to be a mushroom cloud out in the distance.
It is unclear if there were any injuries.
