Caleb Ackley and Ryan Murphy, Who Were Assigned to Watch Ariel Castro, Put on Paid Leave

Caleb Ackley and Ryan Murphy, the two corrections officers assigned to watch Ariel Castro, were put on paid leave on Tuesday.

Castro was convicted of kidnapping three women and holding them in his Cleveland home for around a decade, which included raping them. He was sentenced to life in prison and a week ago committed suicide in jail.

Caleb Ackley and Ryan Murphy were assigned to watch Castro.

The pair are on Paid Administrative Leace pending the outcome of an investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Department of Corrections, reported Scott Taylor of 19 Action News.

Castro was being held at the Correction Reception Center in Orient, Ohio. He was found hanging in his cell late in the evening on September 3.
