PHOENIX—Hot-shooting Diana Taurasi scored a season-high 31 points, and Natasha Cloud racked up 21 points and 12 assists as the Phoenix Mercury emphatically ended a four-game losing streak by routing the Los Angeles Sparks 87–68 on Sunday, June 2.

Taurasi scored 15 straight points for Phoenix (4–5) bridging the second and third quarters. She made nine of 14 shots from the field and tied a season high with seven 3-pointers in nine tries. Cloud netted 11 points in the third quarter and finished 7-for-16 from the field, including 3-for-5 from long range.
