Man Shot in Leg After Attempted San Diego Home Robbery

SAN DIEGO—A 34-year-old man was shot in the leg Saturday after a gun discharged during a botched robbery attempt, involving two or three suspects who entered a home wearing ski masks.

Officers were dispatched at 5 a.m. Saturday to a reported shooting at 8498 Hudson Drive, in the Lake Murray neighborhood of San Diego, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The suspects fled the scene, and it was unknown if anything was stolen.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital, with a non-life-threatening injury.

Robbery detectives responded and were handling the investigation.
