Authorities asked for help from the public Jan. 24 to identify a man suspected of multiple bank robberies and attempted robberies across Los Angeles County.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) reported that the incidents took place at different banks between October 2023 and January 2024—with the most recent robbery on Jan. 22 at a Bank of America in unincorporated Harbor City.

“In each of the robberies, the lone suspect approaches a bank teller and demands money, while simulating a weapon concealed under his sweatshirt,” sheriff’s official said in a statement.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 40s, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, with an approximate weight of 240 to 260 pounds, deputies said.

He was last seen fleeing in a 2006 or 2007 silver four-door Honda Accord with tinted windows and stolen plates, deputies said.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or location was urged to contact the LASD Major Crimes Bureau Metro Detail at 562-946-7893. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit www.p3tips.com.
