At least two businesses, reportedly Jewish-owned, were vandalized early Jan. 8 in Canoga Park—a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of the City of Los Angeles—and an investigation was underway.

Officers went to the 6800 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard on “alarm calls” at 2:28 a.m. and again about an hour afterward, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

No arrests were reported, and no suspect description was available. The businesses are a paint store and a fast-food restaurant. A similar crime reportedly occurred at a tire shop.

According to media reports, the businesses are Jewish-owned and were targeted by a person who threw rocks through windows.

It was unclear if the same suspect was involved in other similar crimes in Woodland Hills in recent days.
