An investigation is underway following a shooting in the Panorama City area of Los Angeles where two teenage boys were shot, one fatally, authorities said Feb. 12.

Officers responded to a call of a shooting around 9 p.m. Feb. 11 on the 8300 block of Willis Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

“When the officers arrived, they determined two victims had gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle,” the LAPD said in a statement.

According to police, a 17-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. A 16-year-old male victim received treatment for a gunshot wound to his leg.

No information was available on the deceased boy and no arrests have been made.
