The Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) near Washington D.C. issued a ground stop on Monday afternoon due to severe weather conditions.
The Weather Channel reported that delays of up to 90 minutes could be possible at Ronald Reagan airport in Washington.
Washington Dulles International Airport flights could be delayed by 30 and 45 minutes, WJLA reported.
The ground stop means that all flights that are destined to BWI will be held at their originating airport.
“All @united flights out of @BWI_Airport delayed today. Having to get @Amtrak to Newark instead to make connection,” wrote freelance writer Helen Ochyra.
