On June 15, a new supermarket opened in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Hundreds of shoppers were already waiting in a line that circled the parking lot—similar to a scene outside an Apple store before a new release.
As soon as the doors opened, shoppers went into a frenzy, rushing inside to fill their carts with $0.83 cartons of eggs, $0.89 pineapples, and $1.50 boxes of guacamole.
