Greek-yogurt maker Chobani is set to open a $1.2 billion state-of-the-art processing facility in New York, marking the largest natural food manufacturing investment in the country, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on April 22.

Hochul said in a video statement that the company’s investment marks a “rebirth of manufacturing” in the Empire State, which is the nation’s largest producer of yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese, and cottage cheese, and the fifth-largest producer of milk.
