American canned seafood giant Bumble Bee Foods is planning to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and place itself for sale, reported the Wall Street Journal.
The paper, citing anonymous sources close to the company, said class-action lawsuits and price-fixing legal costs have stemmed from the firm’s legal problems.
