Apple shareholders overwhelmingly rejected a proposal to end the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives at their annual meeting on Feb. 25.

More than 97 percent of the votes cast were against the proposal asking Apple to “cease DEI efforts,” according to a regulatory filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
