Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has vehemently denied domestic violence accusations made against him by a woman who said she is a good friend of his girlfriend.
The post also accused the football star of beating his young son “for small things like peeing in the bed,” beating his dog so badly its kidneys failed, and using illegal steroids.
“But we will not keep quiet about this,” the user said. “I can’t believe you did this to my best friend!”
McCoy responded on Twitter and Instagram a few hours later.
“For the record, the totally baseless and offensive claims made against me today on social media are completely false,” he said in a statement. “Further more [sic], I have not had any direct contact with any of the people involved in months.”
However, there have been instances in which McCoy has lived up to his nickname “Shady.”
In 2012, he was hit with a civil lawsuit for allegedly leaving a woman at a rest stop in New Jersey after she objected to him pouring water on her, and beating her up. He and his lawyer also denied those allegations.
