The annual Bubble Battle NYC returned to Union Square on June 14. Millions of bubbles were seen floating in the blue sky as people blew bubbles at each other with various bubble blowing techniques and toys of all shapes and sizes.
The event was dedicated to Megan Summer, a 7-year-old born with a rare kidney disease for which she has received numerous surgeries. Before her last procedure she told her parents, “I have no worries … just keep blowing bubbles.” In an attempt to stay positive for her next surgery on June 25, the Summer family partnered with Pillow Fight NYC, which organized the event, and dedicated it to Megan.
