Two Men Sneak Up on Man in the Bronx, Attack and Rob Him

On Saturday, May 26, police say a man snuck up behind another man on Cambreleng Avenue in the Bronx and put him in a chokehold.

A few seconds later, surveillance footage shows another man run up to the two on the ground and start to search the victim’s pockets. Police say he removed a cell phone.

The suspect who first placed the man in a chokehold can also be seen hitting and kicking him. The victim was only identified by the police as a 49-year-old. The two suspects then fled south on Cambreleng Avenue and police are still looking for them.

The victim was treated at an area hospital for bruising and swelling to his face and head.

Police described the first suspect as being a black male between 18 and 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and black pants.

The second attacker police described as a Hispanic male between 18 and 25 years old, with long hair that was pulled back in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater, light-colored pants, and black tennis shoes.
